Great day on the water with a good buddy Shawn. We caught a lot of Crappie and kept only the bigger ones. Fished between 50-70mm water temp 64. Lots of females with eggs still. We caught them on brush 4-16 ft of dirty water. 1/8 Black n chartreuse seem to be the ticket for today. Call me if you want to book a trip. 314-488-6862

Pomme de Terre Lake - Hickory, MO Fishing Report on 16th Jun, 2025

We hit the water at Pomme De Terre Lake today targeting crappie with trolling tactics. The bite was a little on the slow side, but persistence paid off. Conditions may not have been red hot, but we still managed to bring in a solid limit by the end of the trip. Crappie are still holding in scattered schools, so covering water with a slow, steady troll was key. Most of the action came in mid-depth zones, and lighter bites kept us on our toes. If you're heading out, make sure to stay patient and keep adjusting until you find the right speed and depth. It’s not quite wide-open yet, but the fish are there—and they're worth the effort.

Lake Taneycomo - Taney, MO Fishing Report on 7th May, 2025

Crappie fishing on Lake Taneycomo is currently productive, especially during early morning hours. Anglers are finding success near brush piles, submerged timber, and docks along the shoreline. The bite is most active in shaded areas and slightly deeper water—around 8 to 12 feet—especially on calm days with low boat traffic. Bait & Tackle: Live minnows and small jigs in white, chartreuse, and pink are working well. Jig-and-bobber setups are producing steady bites when slowly retrieved or left suspended near cover. Light spinning gear with 4–6 lb test line is ideal for this style of fishing. Hot Spots: Productive areas this week include the upper lake near the dam and the mid-lake coves with submerged structure. Try casting around boat docks and bluff walls, where Crappie are staging just off the bottom. Captain’s Tip: Stick with smaller profiles and slower presentations, especially on sunny days. If the bite slows down, switch from artificial to live bait and adjust your depth. Early mornings and late afternoons continue to be the best windows for consistent action.
